01-06-2024 Deacons Update for 2024

4 in 2024 Marlon, JR, Vic, Jay, and Randy:  Gentlemen.  I continue to pray for all of you.  I want to thank you for sharing the load of ministry for 2023.   Marlon, Uncle Vic, and I had a preliminary consultation regarding 2024.  We feel some changes nee dto happen because we want to get better this year as a church.  You know what they say, "If you won't change, nothing will change."   We discuss in length the Filam Strategy .  Please study them.   Here are a few changes I want us to be praying for.    The first change is to follow up and elevate your training and discipleship as deacons.  In other words, I want to know what changes you can commit to for 2024 to make the Deacon Ministry productive.  The second suggestion is to include Ferdinand "Page" Ayalde in our team.  It means the deacons have to agree on this move and follow the process accordingly   It further means, we will not just be...

Deacons Weekly Activity

Deacons live a life of Christ as co-shepherds with the pastor to grow, encourage and keep the sheep of God.   Below are some basic weekly functions deacons do:  Pray and study the word    Study during Sunday School, Worship, and Small Group Be active during the men's small group, Friday at 8:30pm Pray together before Sunday church at 12:45pm, piano side.   Connect with the church and the newcomer Come to Sunday or weekly church events  Shake hands with a new person Introduce the new person to the church Visit the sick and first time Get to know people during Sunday worship Secure guest list every Sunday Pray for the sick personally and during gatherings Monitor the church throughout the week and make adjustments Make phone calls Coordinate with ministry leaders  Participate in small groups Plan and prepare the program Use Blogspot to coordinate programs Recruit, Train, and resource volunteers Your Sunday checklist  [  ]  Gueest...
